Birthstone for the month of November. Citrine is a variety quartz ranging in colours of yellow, yellow brown, orange, dark orange brown to reddish brown. In Citrines purest form it is colourless but most prized for its purple and golden varieties.
As a purple gemstone Citrine is known as Amethyst. The ancients revered Citrine as a gift of the sun and a powerful antidote to the viper’s venom. Citrine is believed to help the heart, kidney, digestive tract, liver and muscles. Promotes creativity, clarity and prevents self-destructing tendencies.

These gems are naturally found and mined in Brazil, France, Madagascar, Bolivia, Uruguay, Scotland, Spain and Russia, North Carolina, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada and California.
